Meet The Leaders
Good News Church is lead by a leadership team of four who are commited to seeing each member of the Church mature and discover their God-given gifts and unique role within the Church.
John & Edwina Harker are married with two sons and one granddaughter. John originally comes from Cardiff and Edwina from Hereford. They joined the church in 1985 when they transferred from Elmfield Chapel.
Before he retired John was a Chartered Engineer/Project Manager with London Transport. His interests include Photography, Model Railways and Reading. Edwina,who used to be a Secretary/Personal Assistant, lists "visiting new places" as one of her main interests.
In addition to their role on the leadership team. John is one of our regular Sunday speakers, our main musician, leader of our youth work and looks after the church finances. Edwina, for her part, runs Tiny Tots and Coffee Morning (along with Pam) and helps out at the Good News Club.

In addition to their role on the leadership team, John is one of our regular Sunday speakers, represents the church on the local residents' association and has responsibility for the church website. Lorna helps out at Tiny Tots, and when required, at the Good News Club. Together they look after the church's worship resources.
